Cosmetic / Aesthetic Services

We offer a large selection of aesthetic services as well such as: bonding and veneers, teeth whitening, and an assortment of orthodontic services including Invisalign orthodontics.

Bonding & Veneers

Veneers are very thin shells that are attached to the front part of teeth. They are often made of porcelain or composite resin. Porcelain veneers are stronger than composite resin veneers and do not change color or stain. Generally, porcelain veneers take at least 2 dental visits to apply and composite resin veneers can be done in 1 visit. Porcelain veneers generally last longer than composite resin veneers.

Bonding and/or veneers are viable solutions re: decay and/or broken teeth but both techniques can make teeth more aesthetically pleasing as well. Bonding is the application of a composite resin (i.e. tooth colored filling material) to a small or large portion of a tooth.

It is often used to:

  • Reshape teeth
  • Repair chipped teeth
  • Build up worn down teeth
  • Fill in gaps

Veneers, generally comprised of porcelain or composite resin, completely cover the visible surface of anterior teeth (i.e. front teeth) after the applicable teeth are prepped - veneers are to teeth like press on nails are to fingernails. Porcelain veneers are superior to resin veneers because they are stronger and do not change color or stain.

A Before & After of one of our Crown & Veneer Cases:

This patient wanted to close the gaps in her smile. This was achieved by placing 2 crowns on each of her upper central teeth & reshaping each of her upper laterals with 2 composite veneers.

Teeth Whitening

Whitening is a viable option for most teeth that have "naturally" darkened over time due to surface stain accumulation, the use of tobacco products, the consumption of certain foods or drinks, and/or aging.

Not all teeth are ideal whitening candidates. For instance: teeth that have had root canal therapy, are heavily restored, and have veneers and/or crowns are not ideal whitening candidates. There may be options to achieve the desired result however so it is a topic worthy of discussion with one of our dentists.

There are many in-office and out-of-office options to brighten your teeth. Some products are surface whiteners only and other products actually alter the color of the tooth given their peroxide-based composition. It is best to consult with your dentist to see which option is best for you.
